LeBron James’ Phone Screensaver Is Photoshopped Image of Michael Jordan Guarding Him

LeBron James, Michael JordanLeBron James never got a chance to face off against his idol on the court, as his rookie season came one year after Michael Jordan retired for good from the NBA. In James’ dreams, however, he and His Airness met up in their primes. In all likelihood, that would have been a matchup for the ages.

As it turns out, that showdown does not just occur in James’ imagination. It also occurs on his phone, where his screensaver is a photo illustration of Jordan guarding him, according to Sports Illustrated’s Richard Deitsch.

“Jordan was my superhero growing up,” James told SI. “He was the guy I feel helped me get to where I am today. As a competitor, who would not want to go against the best? That’s like asking [Tom] Brady, would he want to go against [Joe] Montana in the fourth quarter?”

Hand it to James: Brady versus Montana would be a thrilling one-on-one matchup. At 6-foot-4, 225 pounds, Brady would have the size advantage in the post, but we hear Montana’s got a mean first step.
