Lane KiffinThere’s one thing that’s very clear in Lane Kiffin‘s career: The USC head coach has no interest in making friends.

Kiffin and his USC Trojans stood up Paul Johnson and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at a Sun Bowl dinner, according to Duke Keith of the El Paso Times. According to Keith’s tweets, the dinner was at the Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino in Sunland Park, N.M.

Sunland Park is almost seven miles from El Paso, Texas, where Kiffin was spotted wearing a sombrero — that picture was tweeted at 2:34 p.m. Georgia Tech left after one hour without the Trojans showing up, Keith tweeted at 9:36 p.m.

USC players Jabari Ruffin and Scott Starr both tweeted they could see Mexico as they were driving around 10:40 p.m. After having National Championship hopes, it’s not surprising that USC wouldn’t take the Sun Bowl very seriously, if this was indeed intentional.
