Shortly after the Ravens dropped their second straight game, a report surfaced saying changes could be coming for the team’s coaching staff. Well, it didn’t take long for us to figure out who was getting the axe.
Ravens offensive coordinator Cam Cameron revealed to ABC 2 in Baltimore that he has been fired by the team. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, quarterbacks coach Jim Caldwell will take over for Cameron.
Cameron had served as the Ravens’ offensive coordinator since 2008. Caldwell, meanwhile, is in the midst of his first season on the Baltimore staff after getting fired as head coach of the Colts following a dismal 2011 campaign. Caldwell will be going up against his former quarterback in Peyton Manning in his first game in the new position.
The Ravens started the season 9-2 but have since dropped back-to-back games to the Steelers and the Redskins.
