Sidney Crosby hasn’t gone over to play in Europe during the NHL lockout, but he has found a way to keep playing.

The Pittsburgh Penguins’ star moonlighted as a street hockey goalie on Friday night, recording a 4-0 win against a team named, somewhat appropriately, “Flyers Suck.”

“My buddy plays in the league there. I talked to him about playing,” Crosby explained to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “I played a lot of goalie in street hockey growing up and stuff. Just asked if he needed a goalie. He said sure and I came out. It was cool.”

Crosby, who played just 22 games last season due to injuries, wasn’t too worried about the risks of playing in the game. He also didn’t seem very worried about being recognized, since his goalie pads obscured his identity pretty well.

“The other team played against him for an hour and had no idea,” according to the rink’s general manager, Chris Evans. “They didn’t even know until I told them until after he left.”
