As the NHL lockout lumbers on, the league and its players’ association are finally trying something different this week to try to hash the remaining issues out.
Six NHL players will meet with six NHL owners on Tuesday in New York City to take a new approach to solve the lockout. The six owners attending will be Jeremy Jacobs of Boston, Ronald Burkle of Pittsburgh, Mark Chipman of Winnipeg, Jeffery Vinik of Tampa Bay, Murray Edwards of Calgary and Larry Tanenbaum of Toronto. The six players have not been chosen yet.
While the lockout continues, Bruins Brad Marchand and Gregory Campbell were signing autographs for fans at The Westin Hotel in Providence, R.I. NESN’s Jamison Coyle caught up with Marchand, who said he’s going “insane” without hockey.
