Vince Young Tweets to Larry Fitzgerald Asking for Job, Says ‘You Know I Can Help Tell Coach’

Vince YoungPoor Larry Fitzgerald. The Cardinals’ star wide receiver has had to deal with poor quarterback play ever since Kurt Warner retired, and now he’s got Vince Young hassling him over social media.

The Cardinals have gone from Kevin Kolb to John Skelton, back to Kolb, back to Skelton, to Ryan Lindley, back to Skelton and now back to Lindley this season at quarterback. Forgive us if we forgot a step in there. And because of all of the ineptitude behind center, Fitzgerald has just 56 receptions for 650 yards and four touchdowns on the season.

Because of all of those quarterback changes — and Arizona’s 4-9 record — Young tweeted to Fitzgerald midway through the Cardinals’ embarrassing loss to the Seahawks begging for a job.

Sadly, this just reminds us of when your unemployed friend finds out there’s an opening at your place of employment and you have to keep assuring him that you’ve handed in their resume when in all reality, it was thrown in the trash minutes after receiving it. Young has an impressive 31-19 record as a starter in his NFL career, but there’s obviously a reason he’s been out of football since the Bills cut him in late August.

It’s always fun to follow your favorite athletes on social media, until they start begging their friends for a job.
