Boston will always have New York to tangle with, but in case that rivalry gets musty, there are some plucky birds in Baltimore that have been playing for more attention.

The Patriots lost in the latest battle of a slowly developing grudge match with the Ravens in the AFC Championship Game on Sunday, and another Baltimore ballplayer was on hand to remind Boston fans that the Patriots aren’t the only local team that has had trouble with Edgar Allen Poe‘s other city recently.

Adam Jones, whose Orioles went to the playoffs last year and have made the American League East a much tougher division, showed up to cheer on the Ravens at Gillette Stadium.

With the Ravens and Patriots sure to be battling in the AFC for years to come and the Orioles on the upswing as the Red Sox look to get back into contention, Baltimore-Boston could be a fun little rivalry to start looking forward to.

Until then, check out Jones and his end zone buddies at the game.
