The NHL schedule is a little screwy this season. With the 48-game slate tilted heavily toward intradivisional play (and only consisting of intraconference games), plenty of teams will be seeing much more of each other than they normally would.
NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette is expecting that to translate into some extra emotions on the ice, with points at a premium and familiarity breeding contempt. The Bruins will put that theory to the test on Wednesday night, as they venture to New York for their second game against the Rangers.
