Curt Schilling didn’t make it into the Hall of Fame in this round of voting, but the three-time World Series champion isn’t too down on himself.
Appearing on WEEI’s Dennis and Callahan a day after receiving just 38.8 percent of the votes, the pitcher admitted that even “being under consideration was surreal,” even if he didn’t make the cut this time. Never one to hold back, Schill also expressed regret that the players didn’t do more during baseball’s Steroid Era and also lamented the irony in how the actions of a few have had such a profound impact on so many.
