Just about everybody looks better in a game jersey — just not college basketball analysts.
Digger Phelps and Jay Bilas found that out the hard way Saturday afternoon when they slapped on some old-school Hickory High jerseys. The dressing up was a nice little stunt to honor Hinkle Fieldhouse before Butler’s game against Gonzaga on Saturday night. (Hinkle Fieldhouse, Butler’s home court, hosted the fictitious Hickory High in Hoosiers.)
While former NBA and college star Jalen Rose looked the part in Hickory red, Phelps and Bilas looked like they were wearing long-sleeved white shirts under their jerseys — until you got closer and saw that, indeed, this is the look of old white men’s arms.
