Apparently Jay Ratliff didn’t learn from the tragic mistakes made by his Dallas Cowboys teammate and fellow defensive tackle Josh Brent.
Ratliff was arrested and charged early Tuesday morning with a DWI, according to ESPN.com. Ratliff crashed his pickup truck into an 18-wheeler in Grapevine, Texas. Neither driver were injured in the accident.
Ratliff is a four-time Pro Bowler with Dallas and one-time All-Pro. He played just six games in 2012 before undergoing sports hernia surgery.
It’s especially inexcusable for Ratliff to get charged with driving while intoxicated because his teammate, Brent, was charged with intoxication manslaughter in December after driving drunk, crashing his car and killing his teammate, Jerry Brown.
