Kari Lehtonen Points to Scoreboard After Red Wings Fans Taunt Him for Losing Shutout (Video)

Kari Lehtonen was just a few seconds away from picking up his first shutout of the 2013 season, against the Detroit Red Wings no less. It wasn’t in the cards for the Dallas Stars goalie, though, as Damien Brunner scored with 3.4 seconds left to ruin the shutout.

That’s a bummer, sure, but at least the Stars came away with a 2-1 win. Apparently Red Wings fans sitting near the Dallas goal decided to ignore that fact — the fact that their team would lose t he game in 3.4 seconds — and they chose to taunt Lehtonen for losing the clean sheet.

That’s when Lehtonen pulled out arguably his best move of the night. The 29-year-old netminder grabbed his water bottle and used it to point to the scoreboard, reminding those Detroit fans that they were about to go home losers.
