By now, you have probably heard that Carmelo Anthony had some words for Kevin Garnett following Monday’s game in New York. What you might not know is how close it came to getting physical.
When Anthony, enraged over something Garnett said during the game, approached Garnett outside the Celtics’ locker room, Garnett reportedly dismissed the Knicks star. After 17 years in the NBA, Garnett is aware that fighting would draw a substantial financial rebuke from commissioner David Stern.
