Sure, losing LeBron James to the Heat was tough on Cavaliers fans, and finishing with the worst record in the Eastern Conference the next season wasn’t fun either, but at least Cleveland got Kyrie Irving out of The Decision.
The second-year player is having a breakout season for the Cavs, and what Irving did on Saturday night is just the latest of many memorable moments this year. Cleveland trailed by two as Irving took the ball up the floor at Air Canada Centre in Toronto. He stalled to let the clock wind down, then drained a three-pointer in Alan Anderson‘s face to put the Cavs up 99-98 with just 0.7 seconds remaining on the clock.
Toronto couldn’t recoup with less than a second left and Cleveland went on to win their 13th game of the season and third straight. Â Who needs LeBron? Well, judging by the Cavs’ 32 losses, apparently Cleveland.
