Milan Lucic Sends Rebound Past Henrik Lundqvist for Season’s First Goal (Video)

Two days after welcoming a daughter into the world, Milan Lucic gave Bruins fans a reason to celebrate as well.

The big winger sent the rebound of a David Krejci slap shot past Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist to give the B’s a 1-0 lead in the first period of Saturday’s long-awaited season opener.

Krejci took a beautiful pass from defenseman Andrew Ference in the neutral zone and fired on Lundqvist from the top of the right circle. The New York netminder was able to turn Krejci’s blast aside but had no answer for the trailing Lucic.
