Paul MacLean Impostor Sits Behind Senators’ Coach During Game (Video)

macleanspotlightWith a mustache that would make Ron Burgundy proud, Ottawa Senators head coach Paul MacLean is a rather recognizable figure.

So it caught many by surprise when a man who looked exactly like MacLean appeared behind the Senators’ bench during a game against the Florida Panthers on Monday. The prank took some serious effort on the part of the impostor, as he not only replicated the Ottawa coach’s signature ‘stache but also showed up to Scotiabank Place in a suit and tie.

The Panthers’ broadcast team had a good laugh at the situation. The fake MacLean, however, soon looked like he was going to get kicked out, although later reports indicated that he was just being taken elsewhere for an interview.
