Some fans find out their favorite player has been traded on SportsCenter, when they can scream at the TV. Others find out in their office cubicle, when they have to remain silent as they read the ugly details.

And some find out at the arena, while they are hanging over the players’ entrance tunnel next to the stands, wearing their favorite player’s jersey and just waiting, waiting, waiting for him to emerge.

That’s what happened to a poor Detroit fan on Wednesday night. He went to a Pistons-Pacers game proudly wearing his Tayshaun Prince jersey. He watched every member of the Pistons walk out of the tunnel, even peering into the blackness as some strange, multicolored mascot followed. But Prince never emerged.

Clearly confused, the fan then did what most would — he turned to his phone, checked for the news online and then called a friend. With the local network’s camera on him the whole time, he eventually found out that Prince had been traded, and his reaction was captured for the greater Detroit area. He balled up his Prince jersey in frustration and sat down in a huff to watch the game.

Detroit ended up losing, 98-79, too.

Check out the poor Pistons fan in the video below.
