Ray Lewis’ Postgame Dance Was Disrespectful, According to Reggie Wayne

Not everyone in and around the NFL was impressed with the Ray Lewis lovefest that went on in Baltimore and in TV studios everywhere on Sunday afternoon.

The future Hall of Famer, who announced his pending retirement just days before the Ravens hosted the Colts in a wild card round game, was the life of the party on Sunday in Baltimore with No. 52 tributes left and right. His famous “squirrel dance” made an appearance not once (in its customary pregame introduction), but yet again following the end of the game on the field after the final play.

At least one member of the Colts took issue with that, as Lewis’ second squirrel dance has Indianapolis wide receiver Reggie Wayne pretty cheesed off.  Jake Query of WNDE tweeted this on Monday afternoon (via ProFootballTalk.com).

Coincidentally, this is a case of Hurricane-on-Hurricane crime, with both players attending the University of Miami, although a few years apart.

No word yet on whether or not Wayne thinks an out-of-place piece of sod is disrespectful.
