DeMarcus CousinsThe Celtics need a big man. But so do a bunch of other teams, so acquiring one could be problematic.

Enter DeMarcus Cousins.

The beleaguered Kings forward has been ticking people off recently, but his talent level is undeniable. And according to Kentucky Sports Radio, the Celtics are one of the teams looking to acquire Cousins.

The C’s, Mavericks, Magic and Bobcats are reportedly among the four teams looking into Cousins. The Pistons, Rockets and Wizards could also be in play, but KSR reports those teams are unlikely for a variety of reasons.

Acquiring Cousins would likely come at a high cost, and that’s if the Kings will even consider trading him. Cousins was the fifth overall pick in the 2010 draft, and he figures to be a huge part of Sacramento’s equation going forward, even if the franchise’s future is still up in the air because of the rumors that it may move.

Cousins has certainly produced when not in hot water, though. He’s averaging 16.3 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per contest this season. Last season, Cousins averaged 18.1 points and 11 rebounds a tilt.
