The much-sought-after Chip Kelly appears to be doing the honorable thing.
Kelly, who is rumored to be all but signed as the Cleveland Browns’ new head coach, is said to have also drawn interest from the Eagles and Bills. He’s still doing interviews and, as Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports, he’s going to give everyone a chance before he makes his final choice.

Kelly has been heavily pursued since the NFL season ended and seven head coaches were fired. He’s had success in the college game, most recently as the head coach of Oregon, but he has said he will likely adopt his strategy to suit the pro game if he takes a head coaching job in the NFL.
The Browns are the most woeful of the three organizations competing for him, although it’s still a bit of a contest. The Bills (6-10) have at least flirted with .500 in recent years, and the Eagles (4-12) had a winning tradition for a long while under recently fired coach Andy Reid.
But Cleveland hasn’t had many bright spots since rejoining the league in 1999. The Browns have had just two winning seasons in that span and haven’t had more than five wins in a season in the last five years.
