FedEx Field grassWe’ve all heard by now how bad the grass really was at FedEx Field last Sunday for the wild card round matchup between the Washington Redskins and the Seattle Seahawks.

The field, which looked dangerous from the get-go, proved to be harmful. Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III reaggravated a knee injury that led to surgery, and the Seahawks moved on to the divisional round but face the prospect of playing the rest of the playoffs without sacks leader Chris Clemons and kicker Steven Hauschka, who both suffered leg injuries.

Pete Carroll was outspoken about the field conditions, calling them “horrible,” and the Redskins have said they will look into the situation, whatever that really means.

We now have even more proof of how bad the field really was. Seattle fullback Michael Robinson captured a video of how the field conditions upon arriving at FedEx Field as he and his Seahawks teammates scoped things out prior to the game. The result was pretty shocking, as there was plenty of dirt and sand throughout the field.
