TCU quarterback Casey Pachall is ready to take the next step in his road to recovery.
Pachall, a junior who was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving on Oct. 9, has completed substance abuse rehabilitation, and has returned to the team, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
TCU coach Gary Patterson said that Pachall took part in team meetings on Sunday, and he has previously stated that he’d welcome Pachall back to the team following his rehab stint. Patterson reportedly said that Pachall has done everything the school has wanted him to do, and the junior could have an opportunity to regain his starting job.
“He looks great,” Patterson reportedly said. “It’s like he looked when he was a freshman. Right now, we feel really good about this. It’s never going to be 100 percent perfect but there is a chance we did the right thing and made a difference. You’ve got to understand, everybody is going to be watching on this.”
Pachall threw for 948 yards with 10 touchdowns and one interception in TCU’s first four games last season.
