AFC Championship FootballFOXBORO, Mass.  — The Patriots’ loss in Sunday’s AFC Championship Game hurt plenty, but Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs decided to pour salt in their wound after the game.

Suggs, who recorded seven tackles in Baltimore’s 28-13 comeback win, was all sorts of excited as the Ravens hoisted the Lamar Hunt Trophy. But while he wasn’t given the airtime with CBS’s Jim Nantz during the postgame show, he still wanted to let his thoughts on the Patriots be heard.

“Tell them to have fun at the Pro Bowl. Arrogant [expletives],” Suggs shouted to a crowd of media members after the game.

Suggs wasn’t finished with just a general attack on the Patriots after advancing to the Super Bowl, though. Instead he decided to dig the knife a little deeper, going after Bill Belichick and even bringing up the dreaded “Spygate” scandal in his rant.

“These are the most arrogant [expletives] in the world, starting with Belichick on down,” Suggs said amid his postgame tirade. “That’s funny, ever since Spygate they haven’t been able to win.”

This isn’t the first time that Suggs has jawed about the Ravens’ arch-nemesis, as he’s long been known to trash talk with Tom Brady and other players. However, this may be the first time he’s done it this publicly.

After cooling down from his emotional high back in the locker room, Suggs did amend his comments a bit, giving the Patriots some due respect.

“All B.S. side, they are a hell of a ball club,” Suggs said. “They have a right to be arrogant.”
