Abu Dhabi hasn’t been kind to Tiger Woods this week. Woods not only missed the cut at the event but also hit one of the worst shots of his career.
In the first round of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, Woods hit a shot that would’ve embarrassed even a casual golfer. On the first hole, his 10th, Woods topped a drive that was estimated to travel about 150 yards. The No. 2 golfer in the world — No. 1 Rory McIlroy also missed the cut — showed obvious frustration after the swing, and while he finished the day with an even-par 72, he failed to make the weekend cut.
Maybe McIlroy cracked a joke or maybe Elin Nordegren was on Woods’ mind, but check out the video below that reminds all of us that Tiger Woods really is human.
