Fast forward to 2013 and Woods’ dating life is trending once again. This time it is rumored that Woods is dating Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn, according to HollywoodLife.com.
Each are training in their respective sports at the moment — with Woods teeing off in the Farmers Insurance Open in San Diego beginning on Thursday, and Vonn training in Europe.
Thursday, USA Today released a statement from Vonn’s publicist, Lewis Kay, on the alleged relationship:
“Lindsey is currently in the midst of the World Cup season in Europe. Her focus is solely on competing and on defending her titles and thus she will not participate in any speculation surrounding her personal life at this time.”
While Kay’s statement is vague, Woods provided even less info, speaking through his spokesperson, Glenn Greenspan, saying he would not comment.
Vonn married fellow skier, Thomas Vonn, in 2007. Their divorced was finalized in early January. Woods’ divorce from Elin Nordegren was completed in August 2010, although a recent report had indicated Woods was trying to win back his ex-wife.
If the reports are true, this would make for a powerful athlete couple. The two combine for 14 major titles and a pair of Olympic medals.
