Brandon Bass, Kevin Garnett, Rajon Rondo, Jason TerryWhen a team is struggling, it’s never too soon to start talking about trades. The Boston Celtics have struggled to find their rhythm this season and a frustrating first half has been the result. Currently riding a five-game losing streak, a change could be coming for the Celtics.

On Sunday night, a furious Doc Rivers threatened major changes if things didn’t improve, sparking even more trade talk. Whether this team needs a new addition to provide some hope (or some scoring), or if they can pull it together with the pieces already in place remains to be seen.

Rivers may have just given his players the motivation they needed, however. Although they came away with a loss to the Knicks on Thursday night, Rivers was pleased with the effort the Celtics put forward. If the C’s bring that intensity every night, the current team could be just fine as is.

The trade deadline may not be until Feb. 21, but with reports coming in that the Celtics are interested in J.J. Reddick as a scoring spark they desperately need, the team could be experiencing some upheaval.

So do you think the Celtics need to make a move? Or will this veteran squad figure it out as the games get more important?
