Zoltan Mesko won’t be punting footballs on the field at Gillette Stadium any time soon. Still, he’s finding ways to keep himself in shape, even if that means trying his hand at baseball.
Mesko joined Red Sox third baseman Will Middlebrooks at Fenway Park on Wednesday for a little baseball tutorial from the Red Sox’ rising star. Mesko threw batting practice to Middlebrooks and took some swings of his own in the batting cage during his visit.
Mesko tweeted about his day afterward, admitting that he “may have flinched and screamed like a girl” while Middlebrooks belted line drives back at him.
Threw BP to my boy .@middlebrooks today. I MAY have flinched and screamed like a girl at the line drives coming back at me... 😥😥😥—

Given Mesko’s reaction, it’s pretty safe to say he won’t be taking over at the hot corner at Fenway, so he should probably stick to what he does best: tweeting and punting.
