In a scary moment in Detroit on Thursday night, Columbus Blue Jackets forward Artem Anisimov was carted off the ice on a stretcher.
Anisimov was tangled up in a bizarre collision with Red Wings defenseman Kyle Quincey, where Quincey inadvertently drove Anisimov’s head into the ice. Anisimov lost his footing when skating behind the Red Wings’ net and that is where he collided with Quincey. The tangle-up also caused Quincey to leave the game with an injured knee.
