The 2013 Baseball Beanpot returns to Fenway Park on Monday, April 29. This year’s college baseball doubleheader features reigning champion UMass facing off against Harvard, Northeastern and Boston College.
The Eagles (30-13-1) hold the all-time Beanpot record with 10 championships. UMass has dominated in recent years, though, reaching the title game in three of the last five tournaments and taking home a pair of championships.
Harvard will look to end its Beanpot drought — they have not won a championship since 2005 and hold a 15-27-1 overall tournament record. Northeastern has struggled of late, winning just one tournament game since winning the Beanpot championship back in 2009.
The day will begin with a consolation game at 2 p.m., followed by the Beanpot championship game at 5 p.m. General admission tickets are $10 and can be purchased through the Red Sox website.
