Bruins forward Brad Marchand missed practice Tuesday, raising some concerns about whether or not he’d play Wednesday when the B’s make their first trip to Montreal this season.
However, some of those concerns were eased when Boston began practice Tuesday afternoon in Montreal. Marchand returned to the ice and just as importantly, he was wearing a gold jersey, according to the team’s Twitter account. The gold threads indicated that he would be back skating on Patrice Bergeron‘s line.
Marchand left Saturday night’s game after taking a tumble into the boards in the second period. The forward eventually returned and skated a few shifts in the second period, but he never emerged form the dressing room following the second intermission.
Gregory Campbell, who was skating on the Bergeron line while Marchand was missing, was also wearing gold Tuesday.
It’s still unclear whether Marchand will play Wednesday night, but his return to practice is obviously a good sign.
