It’s a well-known fact that Dougie Hamilton is an offensive-minded, puck-moving defenseman. Sometimes that style of play means peeling off a defensive assignment to take a gamble going forward.
On Thursday, Hamilton did just that. Recognizing the Bruins’ effective forecheck, Hamilton headed back across the blue line into the Senators’ end, throwing himself into the offensive fray. Surely enough, the puck found its way onto his stick, and the youngster helped set up Nathan Horton‘s goal that gave the Bruins a 1-0 lead at the time.
