With one bag remaining, Dustin Pedroia had a chance to move into first place in the Beautyrest Baggo Classic.
Unfortunately for the Sox’ second baseman, he came up with the equivalent of a lipped-out putt, putting the bag on the edge but not through the hole. However, Pedroia’s 13 points were good enough for third place in the overall competition, and he also becomes the leader in the Classic’s new indoor venue. Pedroia even took advantage of the new rules, getting the benefit of a mulligan when he bounced one off the roof.
