High School Hockey Player Alec Rauhauser’s Lacrosse-Style Tally One of Top Goals of the Year (Video)

Fans knew that when North Dakota rivals Bismarck High and Century High took the ice, they would be in for a treat — but no one ever thought they would see this.

Century High defenseman Alec Rauhauser had himself a night to remember. When the ice chips settled, Rauhauser racked up a hat trick and even added an assist to lead Century past Bismarck 5-4 in overtime.

We all know its very rare to see a defenseman net three goals in one game, but to put up some trick shots in the process is unheard of. With the game tied at one apiece, Rauhauser set up behind the net where he scooped the puck onto his blade and flicked it top shelf, over the shoulder of goalie Brett Malkmus.
