If you haven’t heard, JaMarcus Russell is attempting an NFL comeback — and he weighs over 300 pounds.

The quarterback (not defensive tackle, as his size may indicate) released a trailer through Bleacher Report of his progress on the comeback trail. Russell is working with Jeff Garcia to get his arm strength and technique back up. If you ask us, Garcia looks more impressive than his former Oakland teammate.

It’s worth mentioning that Russell looks very winded by the end of the video after attempting a handful of throws. He also still looks well above his 260-pound playing weight. The former LSU quarterback will be holding a pro day in April to prove to the NFL that he still has what it takes to shed the “bust” label that has been bestowed upon him. Bleacher Report will continue to follow Russell throughout the training process.
