Australian hurdler Michelle Jenneke became a household name in the summer of 2012 when her prerace routine went viral.
“Shelly” turned a lot of heads with her mesmerizing dance/stretch moves before running the 100-meter race at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Barcelona. Although she didn’t land a spot on Australia’s Olympic squad, she became one of the most popular female athletes of 2012.
Jenneke, along with surfer Alana Blanchard and Dutch field hockey stars Ellen Hoog and Eva de Goede, appeared in this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Katherine Webb — Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron‘s girlfriend — also appears in the issue, wearing Bama threads.
Kate Upton took the cover for the second straight year. Check out her official cover shot by clicking here.
