Nick KasaSome NFL teams targeted Manti Te’o‘s sexuality during their interviews at this week’s NFL combine, but he wasn’t the only one.

Colorado tight end Nick Kasa said he was asked a similar question when he stepped into meeting rooms, according to ESPN Radio.

“They ask you, like, ‘Do you have a girlfriend? Are you married? Do you like girls?’” Kasa told ESPN Radio in Denver. “And you know it was just kind of weird. But they would ask you with a straight face, and it’s a pretty weird experience altogether.”

Kasa didn’t clarify which team approached him with that line of questioning. After he told the team he was not married and did not have a girlfriend, he was still asked whether or not he likes girls and Kasa responded by saying, “I was like ‘Yeah, I definitely like girls,’ it was a no-brainer. I didn’t feel really awkward answering.”

Michigan’s Denard Robinson confirmed with The Dan Patrick Show that he, too, was asked whether he was engaged or married.

Pro Football Talk‘s Mike Florio was very blunt when he made his appearance on the show Monday, saying: “Teams want to know whether Manti Te’o is gay. They just want to know. They want to know because in an NFL locker room, it’s a different world. It shouldn’t be that way.”

The meeting rooms always prove to be a huge factor when teams are making their decisions during the draft selection process, but they’ve become increasingly personal lately.
