Sunday was a long day for Swansea, Wales, native and 2003 Oscar nominee Catherine Zeta-Jones. Before making a solo performance on stage at the 85th annual Academy Awards, she made sure to wake up early to watch her home team Swansea City capture the Capitol One Cup in impressive fashion.
“It was one of the best things to happen today,” Zeta-Jones said on the red carpet.
Zeta-Jones’s husband and Hollywood journeyman Michael Douglas also told reporters that he was, “very happy” with the team’s victory.
“Swansea’s won, haven’t you heard?” Douglas remarked.
