Matt BarkleyThe past 12 months has been a roller coaster for former USC quarterback Matt Barkley.

The former Trojan was considered one of the best players in the 2012 draft, but he decided to go back to school for his senior season. More flaws started to show and it appeared his draft stock had fallen, especially after getting injured and having to miss games against Notre Dame and Georgia Tech.

Now it appears his stock is back to where it was midway through the 2011 college season. Barkley won’t fall past the Arizona Cardinals’ No. 7 overall pick, according to Matt Miller of Bleacher Report. Barkley is not participating in combine drills while he recovers from his shoulder injury.

Peter Schrager of FoxSports.com confirmed the report. Barkley impressed many teams during individual meetings in Indianapolis this week. Barkley will throw at USC’s pro day.
