As we know, the third period of Friday night’s game against the Sabres didn’t go as planned for the Bruins.
Through 40 minutes, however, Boston looked like a team thoroughly in control of the game, beating Buffalo to seemingly every loose pick, and pressuring the Sabres in their own zone constantly. Rich Peverly got the Bruins off on the right foot, scoring the game’s first goal on a rebound after the Bruins did some dirty work to get the puck back to the point.
