Ryan Dempster Brings Veteran Presence, Lighthearted Attitude to Red Sox Rotation (Video)

Ryan Dempster is a funny guy. Anyone who has seen his famous impression of former Cubs broadcaster Harry Caray can attest to that.

The 17-year veteran shared some laughs with NESN’s Tom Caron and Peter Gammons on Tuesday when he joined Red Sox Live From Fort Myers to discuss his expectations entering his first spring training with the Sox. Dempster also touched on his experience rooting for the Vancouver Canucks as a kid in British Columbia (don’t worry, Bruins fans, he cheers for the Blackhawks now) and the admiration he has for B’s winger — and fellow B.C. native — Milan Lucic.

Check out what the right-hander had to say in the video above.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
