Bruins fans are accustomed to seeing Shawn Thornton settling things on the ice with his fists, but many forget that he’s capable of pulling some nifty offensive maneuvers as well.
That was on display in a game between the B’s and Winnipeg Jets back on Jan. 10, 2012, when the Boston brawler used some fancy stickwork to beat Jets goalie Ondrej Pavelec on a penalty shot. But don’t worry, he wasn’t all finesse that night. Thornton fought — and beat — former Bruins teammate Mark Stuart later in the same period.
