UK Elite League Player Pretends to Water Ski Behind Zamboni During Game Delay (Video)

It’s unlikely, but the name David Ling may ring a bell for Providence Bruins fans. That’s because the journeyman forward made a stop in Rhode Island during the 2010-11 season, one of the many stops in his career.

Ling played 56 games that year for the Baby B’s, scoring eight goals and adding 15 assists in 56 games. He’s been all over the hockey world, and he even has 93 NHL games to his credit.

The 38-year-old appears to be playing out the rest of his career overseas in the United Kingdom, of all places, playing for the Nottingham Panthers of the Elite Ice Hockey League.

Apparently he’s having fun doing so. Ling recently took it upon himself to entertain the fans during a delay in the action after some glass broke. The Zamboni hit the ice to do a little maintenance, and that’s when Ling took over the show.

See how he did so in the video below (stick tap to NBC Sports’ Off the Bench blog for passing this along). In a non-related note, there is nothing like listening to British play-by-play of hockey. It’s the best.
