Andre MIller, Paul Pierce, Kevin GarnettThe NBA trade deadline has come and gone, and though the Celtics made one minor move, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett are still with the team.

After injuries took Rajon Rondo, Jared Sullinger and Leandro Barbosa in short order, there were more than a few opinions being shared that the Celtics should pull the plug on 2013 and start building for the future. And such a strategy would have begun with shipping out stalwarts Pierce and Garnett for younger fortifications.

However, with the Celtics acquiring Jordan Crawford from Washington, the message coming from Danny Ainge seems to be that the team expects to not only make the playoffs, but make a run once there.

But is it a futile effort? Will the Celtics eventually regret not taking the opportunity to retool? Vote in the poll below.
