Half-court shots are usually only attempted during halftime shows and desperation moments, and for Wisconsin’s Ben Brust the ball was in his court with little time remaining.
After an incredible three-point shot by Michigan guard Tim Hardaway Jr., there was little hope for Bo Ryan‘s club to pull off an upset on Saturday against No. 3 Michigan. That was until the Badgers’ Brust pulled some magic out of his sock, sinking a half-court attempt with 2.5 seconds remaining to tie the game and force overtime.
Momentum carried over into the overtime period and led the Badgers to an astonishing 65-62 victory over the Wolverines in Madison. Brust tallied 14 points and two assists in the victory.
