Bill Walton just can’t help himself.

The former NBA star turned NCAA basketball color commentator has been having a little too much fun broadcasting the Pac-12 conference tournament. On Thursday night, Walton made cracks about Ray Lewis and Bill Simmons (both ESPN employees). He was at it again on Friday, referencing the suspension from Twitter that Simmons received after criticizing ESPN’s show First Take.

After Walton was asked by his unfortunate play-by-play partner Dave Pasch whether he had been watching SportsCenter, Walton replied “I’ve been spending all my time on First Take since I heard about it just the other day. What a show.”

Pasch ignored the comment. But Walton continued. “I used to be a SportsCenter guy ’til I found First Take. Those guys, they bring it.”

Walton was clearly going out of his way to praise the show that Simmons got suspended for dissing. Check out the clip in the video below.
