When you’ve suffered through the kind of year Daniel Bard did in 2012, coming back is a matter of taking things one step at a time.
On Thursday, Bard took the next step in his return to dominance in the Red Sox bullpen, tossing a scoreless inning against the Twins in Lee County. Bard actually walked the first hitter he faced and yielded a single to the second, but he says that he was happy to have to work out of the jam, further proving his stuff is coming back with a vengeance. He also says he feels comfortable out on the mound nowadays, so that’s certainly good news for Boston baseball fans.
