Deron Williams Did Three-Day Juice Cleanse to Rid Body of ‘Bad Toxins’ in Sore Ankles

Deron WilliamsDeron Williams has had a rough time this season. The Brooklyn Nets point guard has dealt with a variety of injuries, most recently in both ankles, which forced him out of the lineup for two games in mid-February.

Now Williams is back and, he says, as good as ever.

Williams boldly declared that not only is the soreness in his ankles gone, but that he can also once again dunk the basketball. He has not dunked at all this season due to a range of injuries that have taken away his explosiveness, but ever since that juice cleanse he did two weeks ago, everything has been just fine.

Yes, Williams credited his improved movement and regained energy to the three-day “juice cleanse” he underwent during the week he was sidelined by ankle soreness, the All-Star guard told ESPN. The cleanse helped Williams get “bad toxins” out of his system, which really seems to have helped.

Before anybody chalks this up as a victory for the homeopathic health approach, there is one other detail. Williams did not just chug juice and pop fish oil pills to get better. The three cortisone shots he received in each ankle probably did not hurt his cause, either.
