There are strange basketball courts and there are embarrassingly ridiculous basketball courts.
Much like how the college football world has been experimenting with certain turf colors and patterns over the years, basketball teams have been getting fancy with new court designs and color schemes. In what appears to be an attempt to draw (repel?) recruits, Florida International University appears to be going with a beach theme for a new court design.
Head coach Richard Pitino tweeted out a rendering on Wednesday, asking if fans liked it.
