It was just about a week ago that the No. 19 Florida State Seminoles women were dropping a shocker to Virginia Tech. Now ranked No. 24 in the country as their season winds down, FSU is hoping to avoid the same fate and finish strong against the University of Virginia Cavaliers.
While the Seminoles have locked up the No. 4 seed in the ACC, they still have something to play for in keeping their momentum heading into the conference tournament. The team beat the Cavaliers twice last season, but Virginia — led by the high-scoring Ataira Franklin — will be a very hungry team after losing their last five in a row.
