Joe Juneau Owns the Bruins Record for Most Points in a Single Season by a Rookie

MURRAY JUNEAUThe Bruins have been fortunate to have such a young and talented core of rookie players in recent years, and it was the same way back when Joe Juneau suited up for Boston.

Patrice Bergeron might arguably be one of the best centers to ever wear a Bruins jersey, but Juneau made a statement after posting 102 points in his 1992-93 rookie season.

The Quebec native supplied a ton of leverage for head coach Brian Sutter that seasontallying 32 goals, but most importantly it was his 70 assists that set him apart. Juneau, who was drafted 81st by the Boston Bruins in the 1988 NHL draft, played for the Bruins up until ’94, when he took his talents to the Washington Capitals.

Juneau called it quits from the NHL after recording 156 goals and 416 assists.
